Tolerance is a virtue and an intrinsic part of the Islamic culture. It is observed at all levels: individual, organisational and national.
With more than 200 nationalities living peacefully and successfully in the UAE, the UAE society has been an undisputed example of being a tolerant and inclusive country.
To mirror this, The World Energy Council is keen to promote acceptance and understanding as core values of the energy industry.
The logo for the UAE year of Tolerance is represented by a Ghaf tree under which people of all views and backgrounds would meet in the past.
The World Energy Congress, similarly, provides a forum under which the global energy industry will discuss the future of the prosperity and sustainability of the world’s countries and communities.
